Dr. Maryam Yavari

Dr. Maryam Yavari is a family physician in East York, Toronto. Her path through medicine, family medicine residency, doctoral research, and naturopathic training has shaped a careful, evidence-led, whole-person way of practicing.

She has a background in Traditional Humoral Medicine and extensive involvement in clinical research. She served as an Assistant Professor at IUMS, is an academic faculty member at CCNM, has lectured at the University of Toronto, and is a guest lecturer at the National University of Colombia. She also serves on ISCMR's Communications Committee and Board of Directors, as well as the INCAM Board of Directors, and previously served as Canadian Co-chair of the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG).

Outside the exam room, Dr. Yavari is a researcher and educator — continually drawing from new findings and teaching the next generation of clinicians.
